LagunaMoon Gel Polish Set

Hey hey hey everyone, long time no "see"! Sorry it's taken me so long to post on here, honestly I don't know if anyone ~actually~ reads these but hey, I'm gonna do 'em anyway! ;) I have quiiiite a treat to share with you all today; a six-piece variety gel collection from LagunaMoon. This has got to be THE most interesting, diverse collection of polishes I have ever received, I can't wait to show you guys. The collection consists of a jelly type gel, a glitter, a metallic, two thermals, and a magnetic gel (including a magnet) 😱😱😱 Let's get started!



First off, we have the jelly type gel. This one was SUCH a gorgeous color, I could wear this 24/7. The formula was smooth but unfortunately it came out a bit uneven with the depth of the color in certain spots. I'm sure I could have fixed this by being extra careful with my application, but still, it's a bit pesky. On the bright side, wow!! The shine of this one was unreal! This is without topcoat, sooo shiny. I posted this one to my Instagram story and several people messaged me about how pretty it is 😏 and I have to agree! I will absolutely be wearing this one again soon.

Next is the tri-thermal. For anyone who doesn't know what that means, this is a thermal polish with 3 different colors supposedly! I wasn't able to see the 3rd color but I also didn't mess around with my water temperatures very well. Here are pictures of the polish hot, cold, and during the transition. This polish was very sensitive to temperature which was great! I didn't have to try very hard at all to get the colors to shift. This one is not as shiny without topcoat, but that is totally fine. It also got a bit more dull once I dipped my fingers in the water. You should always wear topcoat, don't follow in my footsteps! 🤣 Also- don't mind that I held the wrong bottle for two of the swatches haha!

This one is sooooo pretty, especially in person! I am such a big metallic lover. This one was almost opaque in one coat! As you can see, this one is also super glossy on it's own. This is one of those polishes you can't stop staring at no matter how hard you try. My advice is to apply two coats on the thinner side for this one, otherwise it might look a little thicker then you'd prefer :)

This thermal glitter is by far my FAVORITE polish in the bunch!! I ended up wearing this one for several days by it's self. (I don't do that very often 😉) The glitter seemed to apply evenly and was distributed throughout the polish nicely. Man I just LOVE how it looks in its nude form (that sounded dirty, whoops!) Sorry I couldn't get a better fully transitioned picture, photographing thermals is definitely not my strong suit. As you can see though, it goes from a soft sheer light pinkish color, to a deep, hot magenta. This one is such a beauty!

I love that a magnetic gel was included in this collection, this was such a fun surprise! And such a beautiful color, too! This one has tons of teeny-tiny sparkles in it and is a perfect, rich purplish red color. The magnet worked great and the polish responded very well to it. This is another one that was super super glossy on its own. I'm so happy to have this in my collection now, I don't have many magnetics :-) I love that it came with a magnet too!

And Finally, the glitter packed gel. This color is so interesting and unique! I actually really like this one. This polish was not as opaque as I thought it would be, surprisingly! But wow what a finish! This is another you should go easy on the thickness of your coats with, but it wasn't hard to apply at all. Super sparkly too :o)

In conclusion, this collection is incredible! As you can see, each polish is unique in it's own way, and WOW so pretty too at that. The packaging was so organized and cute, I looked the little box they came in! Even the box itself was high quality; each polish had its own little slot in the velvety insert. I really really liked these polishes, I really can't think of a single negative thing to say about them. Especially not about the price!
